Layer Marney Lamb- The luckiest lamb in Essex

At the Thorringtons Farm in Layer Marney, Essex the Coes family farms and produces lamb.
The family owned business butchers and packs the lamb right on the farm where it is sold. Also you can find their products at many local markets.
The family concentrates on lamb, but they do also raise free range chickens, ducks or guinea fowl. You can as well find mutton there.

The food they feed their animals with is their own corn with no added antibiotics or artificial ingredients.

Animal welfare is the family’s primary concern and the lambs can graze on huge fields.
On the Thorringtons Farm you can find a wonderful farm shop, which opened 2007. In the shop you can purchase a great variety of their own quality meat, fruits and vegetables, as well as cakes and breads or eggs and cheeses. You can also find gifts and handicrafts in the shop.
