The harvest of the special salt

I just found out how they produce their salt. It is a very interesting way.
At spring-tide, when the concentration of salt is the highest, the sea water is collected in huge containers where it is supposed to sediment. Afterwards the sea water is carefully filtered and evaporates in big salt pans. During this process, little salt crystals appear at the surface.
These salt crystals form themselves into little pyramids and then sink to the ground. After they are dried, they are ready to be collected, boxed and of course consumed.
The Maldon Salt Company is the last one in England to manufacture salt from the sea.
